N80 Internet Edition Released, Not Sure Why

N80
So the N80 Internet Edition was released recently, and Stefan over at RingNokia.com dug up a great video review of it. It’s great marketing, but really, Nokia, let’s give this a rest, shall we? This is the same N80 that has been available since early summer. It is merely pre-loaded with apps like Mobile Search, Amazon.com Shopping, Flickr Uploading, etc. All things that would take you a mere 15 minutes to install on your own, they’re installed out of the box. Personally, I’m not impressed.

Yes, it has a new WLAN Wizard, but in my opinion, it wasn’t really that difficult to use the WLAN on the N80 in the first place. Anyways, here’s the link to the video review.

I agree that the N80i is kind of a yawn, especially with the impending release of the N95. But, the N80i does seem to have more VOIP options than the N80 (or at least some vs none). So far, I haven’t found a VOIP solution that works with my N80 pre-internet edition unit, so I am a little envious since Truphone and Gizmo support the N80i.
