Divx Mobile Updated, Conversion Walkthrough

Divx_170
As some of you noticed your Divx Mobile applications telling you they were out of date, it was noticed, and today SymbianWatch has reported that there is an updated version available to download, and that it apparently contains quite a few bug fixes. Antony Pranata of S60Tips.com has also put together quite a nice little walkthrough on how to use SUPER video encoder (freeware) to convert your existing videos over to play with Divx Mobile.

I’d suggest you give it a shot, but personally, I’ll stick with Smartmovie. It’s not freeware, but it’s super-easy (no pun intended) and works great. Best of all, with the Smartmovie player, I can pick up where I left off if I have to exit a movie really quick, or if my phone crashes. It also has one-click converting, and allows me to set an audio preroll/lag in case the audio and video becomes un-synchronized. Check it out here.
