More E65 Teases And Details Show Up…

Well, Terminal.hu, though I can’t read a lick of it, turns out to be a great place to watch for new stuff. They’re showing off some more pics of the sexy red Nokia E65, this time giving us a few more deets.

The first thing I’ve noticed are the screenshots. If you’ll notice in the first one, you can apparently show your voicemail on the main Today screen. My E62 doesn’t have that feature. Also we’ve got a screenshot of the firmware and RM-number and all that.

**Update** Ollywompus was kind enough to sort-of translate the page, here’s the link:

Deets I could uncover:

Quad-band GSM, no HSDPA (not sure on UMTS)
EDGE, WiFi, Bluetooth, IrDA
70MB built-in, with another mention of 52MB, apparently the 52MB is user-accessible.
240*320 QVGA
106mm*47mm*14mm, 140g
MicroSD
S60v3 FP1
Price: ~340 Euros = ~$442 USD

The buttons in the middle of the "cluster" are still there, and in a
bit more detail. It would certainly appear that they’re integrated into
the Team Suite app, however the bottom 2 do not match any of the icons in my Team Suite
installed on my N73. Also I’ve noticed that the "Edit" key doesn’t
appear to be in the "cluster," and you can see it’s been shifted to the
side of the phone. I kinda like that, I think.

Yet another interesting thing is that the dummy unit we saw earlier
has the bottom left button as a multimedia-type key, similar to the one
on the N-series. However, in these live shots, it’s been changed to
what looks like perhaps call forwarding or maybe a MOIP button. Time will tell. When’s 3GSM, February

  1. The 4 buttons around the D-pad are conference, contacts, call transfer, and mute.

They’re slightly out on dimensions too, it’s only 118g, not 140g, with the standard battery.

You’re right no HSDPA, but it does have 2100 MHz WCDMA. More details on the wiki - http://feetup.org/wiki/NokiaE65

  2. Jim those are interesting functions to build into buttons on the very front of the device. Any clue as to why they’d build in a mute and call transfer?
