New Nokia E65, WTF?

Well, the first new Nokia has been leaked, and even a few days before CES. Stefan’s got some good pics, as well as Darla, SymbianWatch, and Symbian-Freak. The E65 is a slider, obviously. The specs are pretty ho-hum, nowadays:
Quad-band GSM, UMTS 2100
BT 2.0 + EDR
IRDA - who still uses this?
WiFi
GPRS/EDGE/UMTS
Symbian S60v3 (probably FP1)
2MP cam with autofocus (but apparently not Carl Zeiss)
Estimated availability: Q2/Q3 2007
Estimated price: 340 Euros/ $442 USD (ish)
Does anyone else see the problem with this little jewel? Other than the horrible spy pics (what do these people take these with, anywho? A freakin RAZR?) The problem is that it’s ONLY UMTS 2100!!!
HTC released the TyTn at least 6 months ago, and that has a quad-band GSM, TRI-BAND UMTS chip in it. WTF is the problem with Nokia and 3G? They very obviously can’t get one out through Cingular (see 6282, N80, N75), why not make an unbranded one and toss it on the market? Or freakin make one of these stupid European ones with the tri-band chip that’s obviously available and let us import it like we do every other one of your phones. This is something that bothered me before they started using quad-band GSM chips and is happening again. So if anyone at Nokia reads this, please try to offer a reason behind the lack of US 3G phones. Obviously it’s doable, Samsung and LG (rivals, IIRC) have each released 2-3 different devices, already going up to HSDPA on the newer ones, and Motorola’s 3G devices are close on the horizon. WHERE THE HELL IS YOURS!!?? Nokia, you said you were going to win back the US market, but until you get some 3G devices, S60 or not, on the market, you’re dead.

This E-series is mighty ugly, if I might add.
