Nokia Announces 3 New Phones, Gives The United States The Shaft

Well, Nokia has done it again. It’s CES time, ladies and gentlemen, so here comes the new phone announcements. CES is located in Las Vegas, Nevada, in case you’re unfamiliar. Nevada is in the United States, again, in case you, like Nokia, are a bit confused. Cause of the three phones they’ve just announced, NONE are for the US market. Only ONE is even slightly focused Stateside, and that one’s really just the 6133 with an NFC shell attached.

The N93i has finally made an official appearance, boasting the same specs as the N93, only MUCH slimmer and smaller, and dropping Flickr integration for Six Apart’s VOX service, according to Phonescoop. It does look much better, in my opinion. Still a waste, though, with no UMTS 850/1900.

And in even MORE dissappointing ferver, here comes the fancy-schmancy N76, an update to the N75. Yes, THAT N75, the one that’s not announced yet; the one that’s rumored to be cancelled for its Cingular birthday. Only the N76 is updated to be slimmer, more RAZR-ish (3 years late) AND drop the UMTS 850/1900 for the venerable 2100 band.
