Complete Walkthrough of S60v3 FP2
Yet another post on S60v3 FP2, sorry, but this one’s good. Mobile-Review got their hands on the 6290 at 3GSM running S60v3 FP2 (quick note, the retail version of the 6290 will only have FP1. They created an FP2 version for demo purposes). They have plenty of fantastic screenshots of most of the new features, and a little more exploration into each, as well.

Personally, I think the "improvements" are good, but I’m coming away with a negative feel for the whole thing overall. Just seems a bit, flashy to me. I don’t know. What do you think? Excited about the new edition?
On some videos (from Mobile Review?) I saw some animation in menu. Animations everywhere - that’s I hate on Sony Ericsson mobiles. Probably user can disable them. But RSS channels on idle screen is great thing.
FP2 will have same good things and some bad things. After some week of using I’ll be able to write which one is bad and which good.

I do agree with you that there will be good and bad things, but I think, like with most of the S60v3 changes, we’ll all rant over them for a few weeks and then settle in and accept them.
You should check out MobliNews, as well, if you’re interested in RSS feeds on your idle screen on your current S60v3 FP1 device. I spoke with the developer today, he’s implementing an Import OPML feature and also allowing to move the feed wherever you wish on the screen.
