My dad and I have talked about this a bit and I think it’s a fantastic idea. He just bought a Garmin for his wife, and we couldn’t help but comment on how stern the female voice gets when you don’t follow the path the GPS unit has mapped out.

How cool would it be to have Tony Soprano get REALLY upset when you miss your turn? Similar to the inspirational pak (which made me laugh something fierce), Tony would YELL at you when you screw up. “You were supposed to turn left, ya f*ckin idiot! Turn the f*ck around!”

Not to get off track, but an application that’s similar that my dad thought of is the self-checkout registers at Wal-mart and grocery stores. Cause I’m certainly sick of the one they’ve got now. They could swap them out periodically. (though they probably wouldn’t use the Tony Soprano one in Wal-mart)

There are already some companies selling voices for GPS. Navx ( http://navx.com/ ) in France is one of them, so I guess that others are doing this also.
However, not sure how attractive is it…..
