Smart2Go Review Posted

Ok so I’ve been playing around with Smart2Go, specifically in comparison to TomTom on my N73, and I have to say, they both have major pluses and minuses. I’d planned on doing a video review of both this weekend, but unfortunately the funds I was going to use to purchase a video camera haven’t come in yet. I am counting on them for this week, though, so we’ll see. Anyways, I bought a 7 day license for Smart2Go, so I am on a time limit.

However, I absolutely have to thank the guys over at Eseries.org, they’ve done a simply FANTASTIC screenshot walkthrough of the installation process, as well as some basic usage and whatnot. If you’re interested, but don’t yet have a GPS or whatever else, read through it to see if it’s worth it to you.

  1. Thank you for the kind words. Sadly, I spend more time on getting the screen shots, resizing, optimizing, tweaking the layout than I spend writing. Well, they do say that a picture says more than a 1000 words, right ;-)

  2. Posted this question on hofo but perhaps you know the answer guru-san! Have you figured out how/where to extract the maps you downloaded to your MC. I want to pull them off and store them on my PC so I can plop them on my N95 and keep them as back up when I’m forced to update the FW or do a hard reset. I’ve set folders to view hidden and I’ve dug through everything and have yet to find the actual files to copy to my CPU. Have you figured this out or do you konw if it’s possible. I would think it’s a no- brainer but you never know with those Nokia boys.
