Why No S60 Fashion Series?

Nokia_vday_2
So Darla Mack has an interesting find today: new Pink devices from Nokia Europe, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Most of them are from the "Fashion" lineup, such as the 7360 and 7373. However, as Darla points out in her post, none of them are S60. Personally, I think it’s cause girls are too stupid to know how to use an S60 device, but whatever. (joking).

However, that led to a further discussion, that there’s NEVER been an S60 Fashion device. Ever. I’ll confess, I think some of the Fashion Series devices are pretty cool, specifically the brown versions. I’m a big fan of brown. Anyways, me and Darla decided that they need to have an "F-Series" line of S60 phones, specifically focused towards fashion. We’ve had some teasers like the 7610 and now the N76, but I think it’d be a huge market, specifically in the US, where "fashion" is what it’s all about. Look at how successful that nasty POS known as the RAZR has been.

So how bout it, Nokia? How bout a F-series? Or you know what, there’s been 2 whole "batches" of "fashion series" but yet not a single one with GSM 850. Do you not think those’d sell like hotcakes here in the US?

  1. They did release the pink N73, but it doesn’t look like they included it in their announcement?

x1387 had one up a bit ago with better pictures, but it’s not in his eBay store anymore.
