Arrive Derci N75

From what I know, Arrive Derci is Italian for both hello and goodbye. *Edit* - (According to commenter Giorgio, it only means goodbye.) I still like that some languages use the same word. Last fall I bought a boat, an "89 Arriva with a 150hp Force Outboard. I named her my Arriva Derci, my goodbye-boat. She’s goodbye stress.
In similar fashion, today I said Arrive Derci to my little Nokia N75. As you know from the previous "Trouble In Paradise" post, she stopped making/receiving phone calls sometime over the weekend. It was really sad, and incredibly inconvenient, as I was at a party with all my friends, who took hold of the opportunity to playfully ridicule me with "Oh, Ricky’s big new phone can’t even make CALLS!" Yeah, I know.
So I sent her off today to a contact at Nokia, to get unbranded. Yes, that’s right. Pure, plain jane unadulterated vanilla firmware. What more could you ask in a phone than Unbranded, US 3G, S60? Not much. I’ll be doing an update to the review probably by Sunday, covering any differences in anything, speed included. So be sure to check back.

Now if we only all had a contact by which we could have the N75 flashed unbranded when (err if) it is released.
Oh come now, think positive! By getting it unbranded, not only will I have the Cingular product code (on the back label) but I’ll also have the unbranded product code (by using NSS to read it off the internal memory). Assuming the latest unbranded firmware is higher than the Cingular branded (which, I believe, is typical), you can then use NSS to change the product code and then “update” the firmware to unbranded.
You are a lucky guy to get the matter solved to your liking so early
Waiting to hear your reply on what happens next.
@Italian: It means only good-bye.
@ Giorgio - well damn. I’ll just leave the beer off the tagline, then. She’s my Arriva Derci, nonetheless. Thanks, though!
(Post updated for accuracy)
You’re thinking of “ciao.” Arrivederci literally means “until seeing you again” basically.
