Why I’m Uninstalling Jaiku

I’m on Jaiku and Twitter, although alot of people don’t understand why. I find that they’re both somewhat like MySpace, only quicker and less painful. Pointlessly addicting, but useful in some cases. For instance, if I’m having trouble with something, rather than IM several people, or comb through my contacts to see who might know the answer, I can Twitter/Jaiku it, and oftentimes get a response from an unlikely source.

When I found Jaiku, I thought it was the end. Presence-enhanced contact list, good integration with the OS, and easy to use. Almost. I’m uninstalling it from my device. Why? I’ve found that it being always connected has caused issues with my internet connection. Trying to use internet with other apps on my device (Fring, ShoZu, Gmail) causes tremendous problems. And those problems go away when I disconnect Jaiku.

Is anyone else experiencing these problems? Does anyone care? Does anyone else enjoy Twitter and not know why?
