Nokia N82 Imaging KING
**Update** Nokia requested that I remove the images, so I did. You
can find them easily just about anywhere around the internet. It tells
me 2 things, though:
1. They’re real (otherwise they wouldn’t care)
2. Nokia reads my site.

The second juicy bit of information from my friend Blue Blazer Regular today is of the Nokia N82. This is a candybar device to followup the N73. Similar to the N81, it has quad-band GSM and 2100 HSDPA, BT 2.0 (w/ A2DP), WiFi (b/g w/ uPnP), but also adds built-in GPS, TV-out, FM Radio, and a MicroSD slot. The kicker is VGA, 30 fps video recording and a 5MP shooter with Carl Zeiss lens and auto-focus, similar to the N95. However, the N82 packs an awesome XENON flash for ultra-brightness.
The N82 is designed for style, but packing the features to make it worth the $$. Still running S60v3 FP1, the N82 lengthens the life-span of the S60v3 FP1 platform, and should be available in Q4 2007. It is targeted towards "tech-stylists 20-35," with a female skew, but not enough to dissuade males of its power.

The N82 is DEFINITELY something to write home about. Basically all the features of the N95, plus a better flash, and *hopefully* better battery/memory management in roughly the same size as the N73. I love it. What about you? Think it’ll be a hit? Skeptical of RAM and battery still?
Wow. I want it. Sounds like the next step up from the N73. I love my N73 but have been a little disappointed in my N75. Mainly because Cingular’s 3G coverage doesn’t seem to be all that great here in Houston.
Looks like the standby time for N82 should be minutes, not hours.
Amazing.. the only thing I don’t like are the SE style keys.. look uncomfortable. Also, I am not sure if this is really the N73 follow up as the specs are so much higher.. Will probably have a higher price point than N73, no?
Ok, I misunderstood you to say the screen is VGA.. I guess with QVGA screen the price of this could be fairly reasonable after all by the time it comes out. But still, I would except there will be a “mass market” N7x phone coming out as well.
do you know if this has a 3.5mm input jack? do you know if it has a mini usb port also?
i guess you probably cant tell from the pics, but i’m interested to know.

There is really no point for the N95 if this is realeased.
Great phone. I would buy it, if it had the email/inbox on active standby capabilities of the E-series suite.

VGA or QVGA? You mention both in the details above. It looks like a nice upgrade for the N73.

Also it’s safe to guess/assume that since it has TV-out and what not, that it probably uses the same chip (and therefore has the same hardware 3d acceleration) as the n93/95
if display is horobille like n95,gps slow like n95 and pictures in terpolated and in purple and pink colours like n95.and battery is small,slider will bad like n95 and n80-simple dont waste your money.I want see real flash in camera -like htc”athena”,real powerfull battery 1600mah,real 5mpx,becouse pichtures from n95 5px is bad if you compare whit normal digital 3mpx camera.If nokia and another produsers of smarthphones dont uderstand that I will by at last normal phone and will put in my pockets my canon camera,my sony camcorder pc9e which quality of pichtires and video is unbeateble from 2003.inough whit expensive toys whit horrible quality .madpanas

@Madpanas - I think you must have a damaged N95. My screen is awesome. HTC Athena isn’t a phone, it’s a PDA. There’s no way you’d carry that big of a device with you all the time, it’d be horrid.
@Kula Bacsi - Are you seriously comparing this to the iPhone? GPS, a 5mp cam with autofocus and flash, SMALLER, TV-Out, etc. It’s not even in the same category.
Good looking phones, but even more those spec are just what I have been looking for. Just hope they stay as they are writed especially for N82. N82 desing is kinda wierd a bit of Nokia and SE mix, but will see how It works out when/if they are released

It’s good to have N82’s 5MP camera and less heavy than N95,although I like my 7610 very much but I need a better camera…..and hope the peice in Malaysia wont be so expensive..well you know everythings thst comes here will be doubled the price.

this looks abit more stylish than what i have ..N73…but i dun like the small buttons of it. when i first bought my N73, i found it abit smaller than other Nokia models, but still acceptable. so this is a step up version of N73, the price must be over SGD1,000…cuz N81 is already SGD 780++ w/o GST..and 8GB one is ard SGD900++ w/o GST..
so, im considering between N81 and N82, which is better? i cant afford the price of the 8GB one..so..?

I have a N73, but I will shell it, because I want to buy a N82.
I think that its will be 500euro or little more in launch, because now the N95 is 450euro.
I was bought a N73 for 400euro in 2006, but now its 250euro.
I wait the N82 because it is have tv-out, 5Mpx Camera with xenon, and 3d acceleration.

Just been on the http://www.mobile-review.com website an they say the N82 will be announced for release on the 2nd November,i hope Nokia as changed its keypads layout as they look like the Sony Ericsson type an not very easy for texting if you have big hands but lets wait an see,also the battery better be stronger than the N95 as it was to weak to use the functions on the N95 before the battery drained out so quickly an made the N95 very annoying because if this
yeah. . it has the SE looks on it. .looks like that SE T610’s keypad. . which no one will find ‘easy’ for its a small key :P. . anyways it looks cool. . i hope they have other cover casin colors. . i dont like the all whity whity .. marble reddish or black will do :P. . and hope all the features stated are true. :D. . .
Hmm, if the price is right! I’ve currently got an N73 and really need a replacement but it has to be (relatively) affordable. The N82 seems to have what I need and what is lacking in the N73 but I still need to be convinced that Nokia have learnt by their mistakes. Bigger buttons in the keypad area is a good sign, and hopefully a more sturdy, less plasticky fascia.

Nothing. I hate it why is Nokia so stupid and dont care about Candybarphones. Only Slider Slider Slider i hate them. Why it takes so long to release it or maybe at least a presentation. The Phone will be a hit everyone wants it but Nokia dont care. Its maybe the best Phone Nokia ever made. It will have maybe a part steel cover thats the right way and it will have the new Nokia N95 8gb Accu. With 1200mha because its clear that Nokia will not give a weaker accu to the N82 as to the N73. And of course it will have at least 128 mb Ram like the N95 8gb. So the Memory full Problem is gone and it will be a full multitasking device. And I Hope it will have an bether Cpu than the N95 maybe 400+mhz ? If the N82 will be released i guess at between 1Q and 2Q 2008 it has a lot of time to evolute and will beat the N95 in every single way.
But why Nokia dont say a word the first rumors are almost 5 months old. And Nokia didnt even tell that the N82 is going to exist. If they wouldnt launch an official UAP (User Agent Profile) i maybe would believe its a fake.

Nokia will be now under pressure if they do the same as what they did with the N95 put to many features on the N82 but you are unable to use them freely before your battery is drained out,thats why the N82 as been delayed i think as doing the same mistake Nokia will keep alot of people buying the N82 an people will buy some other mobile instead,the camera an flash on it looks good its the keypads i want to see an read a review about as well on the N82
wah…ini neeh ponsel yang gw tunggu-tunggu, kalo dilihat sekilas sih cukup menarik tapi yang bikin gw tertarik yaitu kameranya, gw seneng banget foto-foto pa lagi temen gw adi lebih narsis dari gw……
n82 is gonna be a hit, just because of its ram, its a whopping 128MB, meaning we aren’t stuck with memory problems, which only let us open few applications at a time….. i have been suffering with this in my n95
that and in a candybar stylish form, its superb
i am in love with the steel plating around it, if the pics are original though
i am not bothered about the keypads, its just a matter of getting used to it….
one improvement o would like to see will be in the processor, it has to be a faster one
talking about the disadvantages, this phones using the older symbian os version…. i thought they would bring out a completely new version with 3d user interface and such
