Why Are Fakes Better – Part II – The Vid

In similar form to Part I of "Why Are Fakes Better?", Darla Mack has found this video on HowardForums showing one of the counterfeit Nokia N95s in all its glory. Here’s the video, watch it real quick, then answer the questions below:

What did you notice that stood out to you? I noticed several things:

1. It is able to be used apparently without the battery but plugged into the charger. Like a Mac (I think they can still do that).
2. It has one plug that allows charging and headset. It looked like a Mini-USB port. Charging via Mini-USB? Who’d have thunk it?
3. The flashlight/power button. Seriously, how hard/expensive can that really be? And how freakin useful would it be to have a flashlight built into your phone. All you 3200 and 1100 users, UNITE!

Three things that would be REALLY easy to implement into a device. As I stated before, I really think that Manufacturers should snag one of these counterfeits before destroying them all and sneak it back to R&D. There’s some killer ideas, and again, there’s obviously some sort of market for them.
