Blueapple.mobi - Internet Video on your Mobile

I was recently tipped off to Blueapple.mobi, a new mobile site for watching videos on your phone. You can’t pull it up on your desktop, it’s for phones only (though you CAN send a link to your phone from their website). or you can simply type in "www.blueapple.mobi" to your mobile browser.
The site is laid out really well. It’s dead simple to navigate. You’re greeted with a search box, and if you scroll down, you can choose from a few pre-made lists such as Editor’s Pick, Favorites, and others. I like this, it facilitates exploring, and makes it easy to quickly find something to watch. As far as I can tell, it’s pulling from all different online video sites, not just YouTube. When you click on a playlist (or perform a search), the results page gives you the thumbnail of the video, along with the title, with a few ads sprinkled in between. The ads are not intrusive in any way, and if they keep it free, then heck, I’m game.
Once you choose a video, you have a few handy options. The first is
obviously to stream it to your handset. The quality and speed was
usable over an EDGE connection on my N95, and didn’t stutter much. You
can also download the video and save it directly to your device, to
watch later. If the video is particularly long, you’re presented with
the option to grab it broken up into a few parts. Personally, I don’t
see the point, but some might.
What I really like is that Blueapple converts and processes videos on the go. For instance, the N95 vs. iPhone commercials on YouTube. I was able to search for "rcadden" (my YouTube username) and one popped up. Knowing that these videos hadn’t been mobilized by YouTube, I clicked on it.
Immediately I was able to stream it. Where the "download" link normally would be, it said it was processing, and to click "more" to refresh the page. I did, and about 30 seconds later, the video was available for me to download, converted to .3gp format. Thus, the library is basically any video that’s posted online somewhere. You can bookmark videos that you like, rate the
video, or send a link to it via SMS to a friend. Again, REALLY handy,
and really easy to use.
Personally, I like Blueapple better than the mobile YouTube site
because it has a much greater selection. It doesn’t allow you to upload
your own content, but they are working on an API so that developers can
mobilize their own content. I’m hoping to work with them to be able to
offer Driving with the Guru on the m.Symbian-Guru.com site, as well.

I don’t get the sms message when I send it to my phone. They may not support SMS to Canadian phones…. what’s the URL for direct access?

Looks nice. I certainly have bookmarked the site.
I seem to be having some trouble viewing tha page on my mobile. I just went to give this page a shot and when I visit the page on my N73 I get the non-mobile version. Anyone suggestions?
I’m using Nokia 9300 communicator. I’m not able to ’stream’ the video, and get error msg ‘the address type is unknown or unsupported’.
Plz guide how to fix this.
Thank you.
I think that it work only with Nokia`s browser only. With Opera I get the nonmobile page and with operamini the error “the address type is unknown or unsupported”.
