Mobile Tagged - What’s On My Phone?

My fellow-blogger Tarek tagged me on his blog, Symbiano-Tek, regarding what apps I have on my mobile. In attempting to write this, I’ve realized that I have a BUNCH of apps on my phone that I don’t use. Either I installed them to play around and never uninstalled, or I used to use them and just don’t anymore.

Here’s some highlights:

1. Handy Taskman - the first app I install on any S60 phone I get. It’s only $10, and worth every penny.

2. Screenshot - don’t blog without it

3. Y-browser - Y-not?

4. TalkPlus - helps me manage my 2 mobile numbers on one phone, without having to reboot to switch.

5. SkyForce Reloaded - BEST SYMBIAN GAME EVER. Period.

6. the Gmail app.

Really, that’s about it. I mean, I’ve got other apps on my phone, but those are the ones that I just can’t live without. I’d like to tag Ken Camp and Devin Balentina.

  1. My favorite apps are
    Handy Taskman
Handy Weather - I am a nut about the weather.
    Best Profiles
Nokia Maps - I use it more like I would Streets &Trips on my computer, mainly for looking up an address.
Quickoffice - I need to be able to view Excel files on my phone. Some minor editing also.

  2. Yahoo Mail is way better, the symbian version though not sure about the java applet.

  3. Whats so special about handy taskman? I just dont get it, so someone please enlighten me.

  4. Handy Taskman is great because it takes over the task manager on your phone, and replaces it with a KILLER one-glance screen, and also allows you to “kill” apps that won’t close on their own.

From the main screen, you can see what apps are open, how much RAM is free, and how much internal/external memory you have available. All in one shot.
