Reflections on Nokia: Go Play

What an exciting past few days! First off, a BIG thanks to the gang at WOM World for allowing me to be a part of the event. Any bloggers reading this, if you get invited to anything with them, don’t ask questions, just go. Trust me. It’ll be worth it.

Second, apologies to my readers for the lack of posts. As you can imagine, I didn’t exactly have much time to sit at my computer during or after the event, and the time I did have was mostly still taking it all in and figuring out what to write. Posts will come up throughout the next week regarding the event. Olly was kind enough to give you some links, but if you have Google there’s no shortage of news about the event.

I will, however, give you some initial reactions, all of which will be explored more deeply soon.
1. The Music Store – phenomenal. When it was announced, Rafe of AllAboutSymbian leaned over to me and said, "if this goes right, Apple is finished" and I agree 100%. You really have to see it to believe me.

2. Ngage – I’ve already given my thoughts, and I stand behind them.

3. Ovi – I will admit that I’m wary of having yet ANOTHER brand out there. However, this one is a wait-and-see kinda deal. There wasn’t much information given, really.

I agree with you about Ovi. It’s a bit worrying. Nokia brand is very strong; why did they introduce another sub-brand there?
