Auto Profiles 2.0

There’s several apps out there that’ll let you automatically change the profile of your phone based on user-programmable rules. However, they’re somewhat of a pain to setup. Let’s say you use your calendar extensively, and only want your phone to change based on certain calendar events. With some of the other applications out there, the configuration of such a simple task could take forever to program. Enter Auto Profiles from SymbianGuru (not me, another company).
Auto Profiles is really really simple. It runs in the background (doesn’t even show up in the Tasks list) and watches your calendar. When a certain event happens (for instance, you have a meeting), Auto Profiles will automatically change your phone’s profile to "Silent" or "Meeting" (or whatever you want) and then change it back when the meeting is over. It’s that simple.
Version 2.0 adds the ability to schedule Bluetooth, as well as working with recurring appointments. Users can designate what their workdays are, which is convenient if you work weird schedules.
As I said, there’s other apps that allow you TONS more options, but Auto Profiles is designed to perform one task, and to be easy on the user with minimal setup. At only $10 (after a generous 10-day trial period), it’s not bad if you’re trying to avoid being "that guy" in your sales meeting.

Buy the whole thing (why would you do this without using the trial?)
Full disclosure: I was given a copy of the program, but as noted, I’m not connected to Symbianguru in any way, other than having GREAT taste in names.

this application is cool.. but i don’t think i really need this.. ehe
funny, just today I downloaded the trial of this app, to see how it compares to Best profiles which I’ve been using for a while now. I loved the simplicity and the autorun feature, yet I was disappointed by one thing.
I’m not a calendar girl, so meetings, appointments, etc go into high above (read: my head), and even though I’m getting low on RAM and internal storage (read: i’m getting forgetful), I’m still relunctant towards calendar usage on my phone. In one word, profile changing according to calendar keywords can’t really work out for me, unless there’s a thought connection between my mind and the phone.
Which brings me to THE problem (too much blah blah blah, i know): while using the schedule feature in AutoProfiles, I noticed one thing: it can’t schedule overnight. Let me be more clear: I need autoprofiles to go silent from 9pm or 10pm to 7am the next day, everyday. Might seem simple, but everytime I try to do it, it tells me the End time is before the Start time. Total PITA. Solution: schedule everyday from 9-10pm to midnight, plus from midnight to 7am. Total PITA (repetition, I know). Someone tell these guys there’s a serious problem with their app.
Oh an btw, I faced the same thing with Smart Profiles. Which left me with my previous beloved Best Profiles, which gets my overnight setting like a charm! There’s a lebanese saying that goes like this “he who changes his habits looses his happiness” or sthg like it, I guess it’s right.
The going past midnight thing is a problem with S60 and not the applications. This is mentioned in the user guide.
Comment about the app: The best thing about it (IMO) is the ability to turn BT on and off auto. I have it set to turn on for a couple of minutes 3 times on work days, and set PC Suite to Sync auto when connected. This means I never have to manually do a sync and my calendar and contacts is always up to date.
The only problem I find is that the app still works on weekends, ie, if I have a calendar entry for a friends party on a weekend the ‘Meeting’ profile is still activated which is a real pain. Setting workdays should tell the app that I dont want it to do anything (other than someting I program) except for workdays.
