It’s Official: The US 3G N95 is ON SALE!

Us3gn95_2
I got the call this morning! I’m REALLY excited to inform you that the US 3G N95s have arrived at the Nokia Flagship Stores in NYC and Chicago and are AVAILABLE TO PURCHASE. I have confirmed that both stores have inventory in the brown color. They’ll have the black ones soon. The phone is $699 USD.

Unfortunately, for this hot item I was told they are not accepting phone orders, so if you’re in the area, you’ll need to stop in the store. If you had previously put your name on a waiting list, you’ll get first chance at it, but since they’ve only got the brown color, they’re giving you a call to see if you’d like to wait for the black one.

Also, according to this thread on HowardForums, there’s a store in NYC called MobileCityOnline that is carrying the Black version for $649.99, which is $50 cheaper than the flagship stores. Better get out there and get it quick!

Just to recap, these puppies are shipping with the upgraded battery and HSDPA on the 850/1900 bands, so they’ll work fine on AT&T’s 3G network. For those wondering, you do NOT need a special data package from AT&T to get going. Just the regular MEdiaNet package will work fine.

  1. sweeet =D

  2. unfortunately for anyone who wants to buy, its already too late to have mobilecity ship today. And since they are closed until next monday (After they close tonight) you aren’t getting it quick.

  3. Sweet… Just to clarify forhere’s no further cost involved with using the US 3G if you’ve got a MediaNet package? I’ve got unlimited MediaNet, so I’ll have unlimited 3G as well?

  4. Correct. Internet is Internet is Internet with AT&T.

  5. Please, PLEASE stay in stock for another day! I’m heading to NYC on vacation tomorrow, and if they sell out before I get there I’m going to be REALLY bummed.

  6. good news for people living around NYC and Chicago.. hehe.

  7. I don’t think the one at Mobilecity is truly the new one. Look at the battery size specs on their site…. Is anyone else offering it online?

  8. MobileCity is legit. Many hofo members bought them from their brick and mortar. I just placed my order online for the silver/black! eek!!

  9. Why will Mobil city not ship my phone order on thursday or friday? I just ordered now 9pm on 9-26-07. Are they closed on Thusday and Friday?

  10. It’s because it’s a Jewish holiday (Succos) http://www.mobilecityonline.com/holiday_schedule.html

Hmmm… yeah. It says that it’s the BL-5F twice (at least) in the product info and detailed specs tabs. Of course it could be a typo, but omitting one of the ~3 major changes in the specs page would be kinda… not smart.

Also, how would they get the phone before the “flagship stores”? Why go through the hassle of getting it on the 26th if the store is closing early and wont be open again for another 4 days?

From what I’ve heard Nokia did make an N95 package for the US that has a 1gb card and a US AC-adapter/charger. My guess is that the $650 phone on MobileCity is not the “N95-3″ with the upgraded RAM.

  12. Any further clarification on this yet?
Got a mate heading over soon and I’d quite like him to pick one up for me…

(that is - if it’ll work in the UK?)

  13. I just picked up the real deal from mobilebity for 650 (retail store), it certainly n95-3 with 1200 battery and US AT&T 3G. The store is closed until Monday though. Flasgsip NYC has it for 699.

Awesome; Good to hear! Now decision time… purchase the phone I’m likely to eventually buy anyway now, or wait for some kinda better deal/faster shipping?

  15. Sorry Nokia, i would love to give you my money but I’m with TMobile… *sigh* and i’ve been wanting this one for a long time….

  16. This’ll work with T-Mobile, you just wont get 3G access until T-Mobile gets their act together. I’m on T-Mobile and I’m using a Nokia E65, I just use Wi-Fi for all my data needs.

  17. Can you only purchase this phone from the Nokia stores an from mobilecityonline as i have tried but they say not in stock while the 12th october now,if anyone as got one for sale please let me know an i would defineatly buy it off you as my n95 as gone faulty an want the new as soon as possible

  18. [...] real upset. The Nokia N95-3 NAM was officially for sale on September 26th, 2007. That was over 5 months ago, with nary a update, save for a ‘bugfix’ one. The N95-2 [...]
