LonelyCatGames Enters IM Arena

I already did the comparison of IM+ vs. Agile Messenger over at AllAboutSymbian.com, but there’s a new entry in this Mobile IM arena, called Slick, coming from LonelyCatGames. LCG is more well-known for their Smartmovie and Profimail applications, but have recently added X-Plore file explorer and LCG Jukebox, a music player.

Slick is only in open alpha right now, and works with Yahoo!, AIM, and ICQ. As soon as they get to beta stage, and add Gtalk and MSN, I’ll be loading it up and testing it against the rest, so that you always have a great comparison to see which one is right for you.

If you’re the type who can’t wait (which I’d guess most of my readers are) then you can click right here to go ahead and download the alpha.

Thanks to Devin Balentina at The Nokia Guide for the heads up.

Im sure they will get those issues worked out, and when they do i will definitely be using this program

  4. [...] a really poor experience is the built-in IM client. Sure, there are 3rd party applications such as Slick IM, but they don’t offer much in terms of integration into the handset. However, many users have [...]
