Making Strides & A Worthy Cause Needs Your Support

So Darla tipped me off to something that is, for me, a very personal issue. Making Strides is a walk to support Breast Cancer awareness,during October (which is the national Breast Cancer Awareness Month). And I couldn’t be happier to help make more people in the s60/Nokia community aware.
If you read this link, you will find that Marge, an employee at the Nokia Chicago Flagship Store, has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer. To help her out, and others like her, a team of walkers from the store have decided to take part in this years Making Strides walk, and they need all they help they can get. Any donation, large or small, is being matched by Nokia 100% (one more reason why I really do love the little Finnish company!). So please, visit the link and get those donations flowing. Every little bit helps, mark my words.
When I was 15, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. Perhaps one of the scariest things that has ever happened to me, I watched as she went through horrible chemo therapy treatments, and finally had a radical mastectomy. Today, 12 years later, she is one of the healthiest people I know, but others aren’t always as lucky. For those that wonder if anyone they know have suffered this, my guess is yes, absolutely. Within my extended family I can count 5 people alone that have had breast cancer, and they are but a representation of the fact that this has effects on ALL of us.
So please, donate to this, or any other local or national charity you feel appropriate. Guys out there, these are our mothers, sisters, wives, grandmothers, girlfriends we’re talking about, and there’s not much more that needs to be said.
Thanks, most sincerely, to Darla for bringing this wonderful cause to my attention, and thanks to Nokia for showing what corporate responsibility to the community is really all about.
Matt C.

Man, I was just there yesterday. If they had some signage up or had mentioned it, I would have donated.
@ZR, you can still donate.
