New Nokia CP-218 Wrist Band
I’m not going to lie, I have a hard time deciding if this is a joke or if it’s really a legit accessory. Apparently, it is. Here’s a nice pic of Phil from S60 demoing the new Nokia CP-218 wrist band. It’s basically a wrist band with a pocket in it to hold your mobile phone while you’re working out. Seems stupid, but this is actually pretty cool, imo. It’s great positioning for using plug-in headphones, and even better if you’re going Bluetooth.

Glad I ‘m not the only one who thought this was less than serious for a bit. I mean, it seems like a stupid type of accessory. After giving it some thought however, I can clearly see the utility of such a device. I’m not a runner, but I have seem people use the upper-arm bands for mp3 players. I would thin that would be a better placement for the device though. Less forces exerted on it, and the less force that it exerts on you (due to the motion of your arm combined with the weight of the device). I don’t know if the upper arm band has its negatives though, any runners care to enlighten me/us?
lol…what happens when the sweat starts pouring. I know I sweat like a mofo when I run and work out so the 5500 would be my only choice.
…no 850 though….grrrrr
The man is wearing completely wrong. I challenge any of you in running with the mobile in that position!
The band should be farther up on the arm so to move as little as possible for running purposes and to aid the use of short earphones
I reckon this is a nice accessory and a must have for people wishing to use their big heavy mobile as sport player (I’m thinking of the N95 8GB and N81, both huge compared to a iPod nano.
I’m totally getting one.
