Finally a Freeware S60v3 FTP Client!

Apoc over at Symbian-Freak alerted me to the news that there is finally a freeware S60v3 FTP Client! Brought to us by the fine folks at SiC Software, the application is creatively titled "SiC FTP" and allows S60v3 devices to connect to an FTP server for easy upload and download of files.

For those unfamiliar with FTP, it stands for File Transfer Protocol, and that is precisely what it’s used for - transferring files. With FTP, you can easily transfer large files between internet-connected devices. If you run a website, or manage any web-based anything, you’ve probably used FTP before.

Most importantly to me, Blip.tv has an FTP upload option. Even though I’ve started editing my Driving with the Guru videos on my PC, that’s not going to prevent me from using this to upload my personal videos to Blip directly from my phone, especially over WiFi!

You can download the app here, or use this handy-dandy barcode with the barcode reader on your Nseries phone.

  3. Someone has uploaded it to Mosh, so anyone having a Mosh account can also download it from Mosh (I did).

  4. Good find: loving the mobile codes!

  5. This is great. Even better would be an SCP client. Anyone know of one?

  6. I couldn’t install that… When I tried, the mobile show de error msg: ERRO NO CERTIFICADO, POR FAVOR, CONTATE O FORNECEDOR DO SOFTWARE. O que faço?
