Mobile Monday Coming to DFW!

Wow, I’m really pumped about this - Mobile Monday is coming to DFW! Matt Stevens, aka KrazyKritter on Howardforums.com has let the cat out of the bag over at his Symbianverse.com site that Mobile Monday will be coming to the Dallas/Ft. Worth area starting Monday, Nov 5th!

Mobile Monday got started in Finland several years ago with several objectives:

  • To encourage innovation within the mobile sector.
  • To facilitate networking between small and large companies, and
    between local and foreign.
  • To help local companies effectively participate in international
initiatives through the import and export of visions, concepts,
    technologies, know-how and best practices.
  • To present innovative visions, trends, studies and forecasts from the
    mobile marketplace.
  • To facilitate and create partnerships.
  • To contribute to the education of the broader public through its
publications, online presence and media partnerships.

I’ll be there for sure! If you’re in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, you should definitely clear your schedule out. (On a side note, if you live in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and we haven’t met for a beer or coffee or something, shoot me an email, we need to set that up).

The first event will be held right by my home at the Handango Corporate HQ, right off Loop 820 at 7pm on November 5th, and will feature a Handango demonstration of browser-based mobile apps, as well as next generation SMS from Interlinked Media, and Kirk Ballou will show off Model View Controller application development in Flash Lite.

RSVP is requested, shoot an email to Kirk letting him know you’re coming.
