New Site Intro: Nokiausers.net

One of the people that I had the opportunity to meet while in L.A. earlier this autumn was Jeremiah, aka PseudoFinn, who has started Nokiausers.net. I had a chance to ask him a few questions about this new community that he’s created, and wanted to share the interview with you guys.
Nokiausers.net is a great resource for news, but also they have a killer forum started, as well as an up-to-date software store and other cool things. Click through to read my little interview, and be sure to head over to Nokiausers.net to check things out.
1. Why would people want to visit Nokiausers.com?
For news of Nokia goods and services for one, but discussion of all things
Nokia- I’m all about the
discussion and participation of members. We hope to have the same
“community” feeling that we have going at N95users.com. It’s a real feeling of
belonging to a group and being friends over there- people feel comfortable asking anything, which is good. It’ll be a while before we build up
the type of global membership that is willing and available at all times to answer even the most
mundane questions, but that’s what we have at n95users, and that’s the hope here. People are going to
want to visit Nokiausers for the same reason they visit N95users, education of their device. That’s the
key, that’s what we’re interested in. There’s so much to these devices, and Nokia is reaching a
broader customer base all the time with these powerful Nseries devices. There’s a lot of new users out there
that are lost- that’s where we come in. Kind of a post-consumer education- as well as the reviews we’ll be
featuring.
2. What features do you think new readers
will find useful?
For sure, the most important and useful feature is going to be the forums-
where the community can come together to figure out and educate each other on
their devices. Aside from that, one of the things we’re going to focus on more
are the reviews. Reviews from the administration team, but more importantly-
user reviews. A lot of the time I forget I’m more of a “digital
native” than perhaps a lot of the user base out there, and I try not to be
too over the head of the average user, but reviews from the community members
themselves might be more beneficial, especially the ones from the average Joe-
as of course, most users out there fall into that category. Those are the ones
that really need the reviews to make informed decisions on accessories, devices
and services. People like you and I are interested in reviews, and we might
read them before making a purchase, but I think it’s very important to the
average consumer that has no idea what they’re getting into. I think it’s
important for their satisfaction, and it’s a nice thing to be able to offer
those who are interested.
3. What features would you like to
highlight?
The user submitted reviews- I think this will be a strong point down the road.
It will help to promote that feeling of being a member of a community, not just
a reader of some website. Apart from that, it’s back to the forums and the
discussion- that’s the biggest asset to the community- a well laid out forum
where the information you need is readily and easily available to locate,
whether you know what you’re looking for or not!
4. What is the goal of the site?
Education. The ultimate goal of the site is to educate. Some of the devices are
just so complicated to the new users, and the manuals can sometimes be a bit
overwhelming to them, and of course- they don’t cover everything. That’s what
we’re here for, to share all the tips and tricks with our community. To share
news and opinions of the many, many available applications for S60. With
somewhere around 8,000 apps, obviously no one can know everything about every
one of them- but if we get together, we can learn from each other and find the
tools we want and need, whether it be hardware or software. Even if you’re well
versed and intimately acquainted with S60 and Nokia devices, there’s still more
to learn everyday. That’s what I love about S60- there’s always something new,
for the average Joe, or the digital native.

I do believe the link in the first question of your post is incorrect.
The link in the first question is wrong
It’s linked to nokiausers.com instead of .net.
Fixed, thanks guys.
