Nokia N82 Gets XML File
I’ve just been informed that the guys over at Mobile-Review.com forums have found the XML file for the Nokia N82. As you recall from May, the Nokia N82 is an imaging beast, with a 5MP Carl Zeiss lens with autofocus and a Xenon flash. It’s also rocking quad-band GSM and HSDPA on the 2100MHz band, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP and built-in GPS. Thanks to the XML file, we’re able to see that it’s still running Symbian S60v3 Feature Pack 1.
Now that the .XML file is out there, I would expect the N82 to be announced in the next month or two, with availability easing into Q1 2008 (back from the original Q4 2007). Basically, it’s a non-slide N95 with an upgraded flash. I still want it. Badly.
Me too.. hmm.. IF (yeah, dream on..) they announce and launch a US version at the same time, I might have to put my N95 purchase on hold..

Ricky I saw the screen res is same as N95, but is it still 2.6 inches? Or is is now 2.4? How much RAM and internal memory does it have also. Thanks
Looks great! But do you think that they will deliberately ‘downgrade’ the quality of the camera slightly so that it doesn’t beat the flagship N95?
Not very important I know but by the looks of the pictures it doesn’t have TV-Out.
I don’t think they would downgrade the quality of the camera “on purpose” just not to compete with N95. N95 is by then a year old phone and there is already something new in the pipeline, and N95 target audience/market is to some extent saturated by then. They could in theory need to use a different module (and hence potentially worse) for e.g. cost or space reasons but I doubt that would be the case.
TV Out is actually one of the most interesting features of N95 IMO. Would be a pity if N82 does not have it.
The screen is most likely 2.4, I would imagine.

sounds primo! - Do we know how much RAM this baby has? Too bad on the 2100 only … this will be a sweet update to anyone’s N73 or N80.
I remember on the LA Party Eric the product manager from Nokia telling us that this phone will have 7MP camera.. But will not release further details.. Just admitting of its existence..

this phone definately has bluetooth and wifi by looking at the current xml profile. from the xml file u can also see that it also has video input, and supports mp4, mp3, etc. and some pretty neat software too.
yeah I also noticed that in the current mockups there is no 3.5mm jack(and therefore no tv out. 7mp would certainly trump k850. I want this phone now though! Can’t take much more of this damn iphone.
