Voice of S60 Updates!

Sorry for the lack of updates on this, but in checking iTunes, I found that Phil at Blogs.S60.com and the Voice of S60 podcast has posted not one but TWO new podcasts with some fascinating guests.

The first new podcast is Tuomo Sihvola of Widsets. If you’re not familiar with it, Widsets is a java application that allows you to setup widgets and then view them on your mobile device. Because it’s a java application, it’s usable on just about any mobile phone on the market, which is pretty cool. Phil and Tuomo have a very interesting conversation on where Widsets started, what it’s designed for, and what the future looks like, especially with Feature Pack 2 of S60 introducing widgets into the interface.

The second podcast is a nice little chat with James Waterworth of Nokia’s MOSH project, which has been written about here and here. It’s an interesting platform, and I’m trying to really get into it. I’ve used it quite often, but personally have troubles uploading content to it, and thus don’t get into it nearly as much as others, such as Darla (who I think is the number one contributor). Definitely some exciting stuff coming around the corner for MOSH, though, so if you’re not signed up for it, I’d suggest setting it up.

You can also add Phil’s podcast to iTunes using this link, or you can download my OPML file from the sidebar or from the m.Symbian-Guru.com mobile site.
