Happy Thanksgiving!
Yeah, it’s Thanksgiving. That day in the US that means you get to hang out with all your family, stuff as MUCH food in your face as you possibly can, unbutton your pants, and take a nap in the middle of the day. Love it. It’s also a nice break from work and everything, where you take a step back and acknowledge the things that you are thankful for. It’s also a day of traditions.
For me, as soon as the meal is over, it’s time for Christmas music. I have a strict policy that Christmas music is not to be listened to before Thanksgiving. So right now I’m loading all my Christmas music (mostly Trans-Siberian Orchestra) up on my Nokia N82, leaving room for family videos and photos, and converting A Christmas Story to load up on the Nokia N800 Internet Tablet, to watch on the drive home from my sister’s.
It also means that this weekend will include getting a Christmas tree, as well as going shopping tomorrow. What are your traditions? Do you have any that are just goofy, or extremely meaningful to you? Leave them in the comments, and I leave you with this, one of my favorite YouTube vidoes of all time:

I’m with you on the Christmas music- it shouldn’t be heard until AFTER Thanksgiving dinner- but once the plates are up, all bets are off! (except for those rare July days where Christmas just seems so far away!)
It’s the day after Thanksgiving, and my new N95 arrived this morning, so I’m loading up the Christmas music too. It’s good to see another big-time Christmas fan!
Great site, btw!
