Nokia N82 Videos: Storytelling Rediscovered
Nokia Multimedia FINALLY posted the videos from today on YouTube so I could watch them (was having a REAL tough time with the countdown site) and I wanted to share some thoughts.
First off, I have now participated in my first Nseries Virtual Event, and I have to say, it was an awesome experience. I was able to chat live with Nokia Product Managers, the people who have been working on this handset from beginning to end. What’s better, is ANYONE could get in there and chat with them. I love that it’s so open. There were no usernames or passwords, you just pull up the site and bam, you’re chatting.
Then we have the two videos (embedded after the break). The first one is the N82 promo video, and I love it. The biggest impact on me wasn’t till the end, though. The final tag is “Nokia N82: Storytelling Rediscovered.” This stands out to me because it just reinforces that Nokia gets it. Nokia’s S60 handsets are designed, as I have stated before, to enrich and enable our lives. It’s no secret that my motto in life is to “Live life to tell great stories” and I use my S60 handsets to help me record those stories. Storytelling Rediscovered is right. Love it.
The second video is another fantastic piece, where an artist narrates the process by which the N82 came about as she sketches the phone. The same “storytelling” theme is there, and I love it. I would LOVE it if Nseries handsets came with videos with the Product Managers in the box, like DVDs have producer commentary and whatnot. I’m completely fascinated with the process by which things come about, and the thought processes behind decisions.
Enjoy both videos after the break.

I agree, it was an “Ovi” to Nokia’s people as well as a product launch…

I’ve been using my k800i for 2 years now. Convenient and nice photos at my fingertips
If i wanted to take better photos, I’d have bought a DSLR. But for a phone+camera, it works well for me
