Psiloc IrRemote for S60v3 Available
Zach over at SymbianinMotion.com gives word that Psiloc has finally released the updated version of their IrRemote application, which allows you to use the IrDa (infrared) port on your S60v3 device to control any number of different appliances, such as televisions, DVD players, even air conditioners (if they’re newer and support a remote control)!
Setup is really easy, and you can get online to setup your own device profiles if necessary. There is a trial period of 7 days, or you can purchase the full blown application for $29.98. Personally, I think $30 is a bit pricey for such an application, but I also have working remotes for all my stuff. I supposed it’s a great alternative if you’ve lost your remote.
I put together a little video showing the screens and a demo with my tv. No cracks about how crappy my tv is, I don’t watch it much since I’m too busy blogging and bringing news of applications to you guys.

I had the trial loaded instanty on my E61, two days ago (when first released public) but it insists on _not_working_…
The application install fine (along with the DRM application of Psiloc) and I get the nifty little remote icon on the menu. But when I click it, the phone just sits still…
(I had no other Psiloc apps installed or running on the phone by the way)
Any ideas? Psiloc site does not have that many support/troubleshooting for my device/case. (I would expect more from them, as the app was in beta testing for a real-long-while.)
why the hell is Psiloc claiming support for E61i though the damn app failed to work on my Nokia e6ii ?
Install works fine including a drm app..
But clicking on it does nothing..
