Final post before I load up all my gear for a 12-hour trip (including layover in London) to Amsterdam! For those that don’t know (cause honestly, I didn’t), Amsterdam is located in the Netherlands, which are due East of the UK. Fascinating, huh? I thought it was farther South.

There’s 17 bloggers/forum members going courtesy of WOM World, so plenty of people to meet even as soon as I get there! Also a mini-reunion, as I know that Stefan, Darla, and Rafe will be there, among others.
Coverage here on Symbian-Guru will be as up-to-date as possible. I’ve got Maemo Wordpy loaded up on the N800, so that I can hack out quick posts right there from the floor. I’ve also setup a new Flickr set, which is embedded below. Be sure to check it often to see the latest pics, uploaded via ShoZu from my N82, as well as some from my digicam.
I’ll also be liveblogging the event using Jaiku, hence the new Jaiku banner off in the sidebar. I’ll be using Truphone to call Spinvox to update Jaiku, so that’ll be interesting to see how it works. Sorry for going OT, but your statement in Amsterdam surprised me. If I was to draw a picture of Europe I would have placed The Netherlands South-East of London, but now I can see that England is much more south than I originally thought. Very strange, especially since I’m Danish.
I asked my Czech girlfriend where she would locate NL compared to UK, and she claimed it to even more south than it really is.
Apparently it is very common to locate UK anywhere but where it really is :)
Anyway, enjoy the trip, and don’t forget to try out the Amsterdam coffee shops.
