New S60 Walkthrough Videos
The gang over at S60 has heard your cries that there needs to be a better way to introduce new users to the S60 user interface and has created some dead-simple walkthrough videos.
There’s only three so far, covering different features of S60: Multitasking, Browsing, and Downloading Applications. They used an N95 for the videos, which I think was a great idea, seeing as how it’s one of the more popular S60v3 handsets right now.
What are your thoughts on the videos themselves? Obviously this is something that will likely help new users, but my question is, how will new users find them? Wouldn’t it be cool if there was somewhat of a welcome demo on the handsets themselves, something like a DVD’s main menu where users could choose to watch the videos in a continuous mode, or where they could pick and choose based on the subject matter?
What other feedback do you have? Are the videos clear? Too long? Do you think these are the three most confusing aspects of S60, and if no, then what is?
