
Here’s yet another patent application for a new Nokia device. This one is a slider – sort of. At the top of the phone is a camera barrel similar to that of the Nokia N90 from a few years ago. Presumably, this would swivel so that you could hold the device much like you would a video camera. The N93(i) model is certainly aged, and this would be a welcome replacement, in my opinion.
The camera appears to either be 6 or 8 megapixels, and I’d guess that’s a Xenon flash situated directly below. The rest of the phone is a typical slider, with the multimedia button a slanted hash key similar to the N91 music device. That’s about all that’s known about this device, though I’d assume we might see the announcement either at CES in January or at Mobile World Congress (formerly 3GSM) in Barcelona in March.
