It's the same construction as the QC3, except missing the noise-cancelling function, but the sound reproduction is the same. And the cost is much less. Let me tell you, the experience is breathtakingly beautiful. I thought I knew music, until I heard music through the Bose, nuances, ambiences, vocal characteristics, steel string or nylon string guitar, grand or stand-up piano, all show themselves off with these on your ears. They are noise-canceling and extremely high-quality, that's why they cost the extra money. Usually when I used to turn the volume to 100% on any headphone, I would hear some white noise in the background and the quality would drop dramatically. Not on the bose. Still, I would've loved it if they were wireless ;) Adam, they are not wireless, they have a wire with 3.5mm plug.
