New Firmware For N95 8GB - FULL YOUTUBE
Steve Litchfield, a guy that I know checks for new firmware daily, has found a pretty substantial update for the Nokia N95 8GB this morning. V15.0.015 is a pretty big jump from V11, and Steve’s been digging in to find the changes. I’ve also still got an N95 8GB on my desk, and am updating the firmware as I type this. I’ll update the post with any changes that I notice. The product code on my N95 8GB is 0549487.
Currently, Steve’s noticed quite a few speed boosts, but that’s about it.
**Update** - First thing I noticed is that it reset my theme and all that, meaning I’ll have to reinstall apps and whatnot. Unimpressed with that. It also does full YouTube. Web Run Time is also included, which is support for real Widgets. Those of you with an updated N95 8GB can download this file onto your device to get an idea of what this will look like.

I don’t think the controls will ever work, unless YouTube knows what “keystrokes” are being send by those buttons to integrate them into their flash player.
But seeing it is quite a hassle to use YouTube through the web browser I’ll stick with emTube which is fast and easy to use and even supports the direct download of videos. Flashlite 3.0 might come in handy for some other websites or mini-games though.
Ricky, I noticed that the video was slightly choppy…Could you try waiting for the video to load fully and see if it’s still choppy?
ouh, that’s a nice step for nokia. all of us who know about emtube will continue using it, but later for people who don’t know about it, it’ll be nice to just go to youtube.com and watch videos… of course they’ll have to know about the firmware update. I think Nokia is “sort of” beta testing this youtube thing with people who know and care about firmware updates
The update uninstalls the apps, but if you restore your settings from the memory card it reinstalls everything back to how it was before:)
Anyone else not having the 3d menu work?
How do you mean restore your settings from the memory? How do you do this? I bought some applications but don’t want to lose them. I installed them all on the memory too.
I wonder, do other sites like dailymotion.com or break.com work on new f/w? Or this flash thing is just for youtube?
any1 know if this is coming to us old n95-1 owners please say it is.

iam from germany and my NSC says to that v15.xxx is only RnD atm…Is that treu or is he lying to me?
does this also means full access to , for example, dailymotion or other sites that use flash videos?
there is also one RnD Firmware for E90Commi, which includes Flash lite3. Its one from November 2007…..
Jogee, if you go to menu -> tools -> utilities -> memory you have a key set for options. select this and back up your phone memory. This way after you update your phone firmware, you can restore your settings from the backup and all of your settings, applications, and even words you’ve created are still saved. Beats having to redo everything. It even keeps your text messages.
3d menu..
think its missing frm the new firmware,..
its been almost a week since i updated, and just today i happened to notice this part not working. the 3d menu button does not work, the screen goes blank and its back to the desktop!??any one else havin this problem!?? or is it just me!?!??!
It turns out that N82 will not be getting FP2 updates… this means that N95 will also be left out!
I checked it on the ‘S60 multimedia blog’ and ‘forum nokia’.
