New Firmware For Nokia N82 V11.0.117
The Nokia N82 has finally received the firmware update that was hinted at recently. Unfortunately, I don’t have an N82 to update, but the reports are in that the User Data Preservation function works quite well in maintaining 3rd party applications, as well as contacts/calendar data. Symbian-Freak has gotten ahold of the short changelog, which reveals that this firmware is really just several small bugfixes.
To update the firmware on your device, you can install PC Suite on your PC and then install and run the Nokia Software Update, with the phone plugged in via the USB cable. We’re not sure what product codes it is available for, so if yours works, post your product code in the comments for others to use.

i installed the version of nokia software update 1.4 spanish, i used the version of the link posted by Alan in english and works :D…. but,still no update for 0554995 code, thanks!
I bought N82 when the plastic was still hot from the factory. Grabbed it as soon as it came to the market. Now I’ve started to notice the bugs…
1. I cannot erase the themes I have installed myself. The software simply ignores my efforts. Doesn’t matter how I go about it. Any tips and tricks?
2. I cannot erase my playlists. I simply get the error message “system failure!” and a bye bye. Any tips and tricks?
3. I want to save my settings for the camera, ie no flash, macro etc. I can change the settings if I choose My Own Settings (sort of) but that means I still have to go through the menu to get there. Which steals time from a photoshoot moment. Any tips and tricks?

Daniel - if you pull the battery out of your N82, the product code is printed on the white label on the back of the phone. It’s a 7-digit number.
I’m still waiting in anticipating for the new firmware. I understand my problems are bugs… or else I am simply stupid.
Guys uninstall the software updater that came with ur Nokia Box CD it will never update ur phone and download the software updater from http://europe.nokia.com/softwareupdate
I did mine and it worked.
i can’t find wich region is my N82 with product code 0554995, i can only find this list of product codes in several web sites and none have my product code!

Euro 1 Code worked for me,cheers Nodens.
is it recommendable to instal new FW 20.0 for n82, using some other code, for example GERMANY, because my present code is reported to have no updates?
