Was I Tempted To Run Away With The N95 8GB?
The N95 8GB Lebanon Ambassador concept that I had set for my first device trial from WOMWorld is finished. It was a one of a kind experience for me. I hope you enjoyed my missions on the street and reports as much as I did. If you have any comments, any suggestions for me or the way I dealt with it, please shoot.
I tried everything I could try on this device and yes, I did criticize the gaming experience and the GPS/mapping demonstration didn’t work well, but here comes the question: Was I tempted to take the N95 8GB and run away to some forgotten land? YOU BET! My first impression is still here: this piece of human art is dead sexy, dead powerful, and the closest it can get now to “the perfect device”. 2.8″screen, TV-Out, WiFi, 5MP cam, 8GB of internal memory, accelerometer, everything about it has changed the way I live my life in so many ways… I can now say that I have experienced the Nseries way of life, and yes the sun shines brighter on this side. How did I go back to my Nokia 3250 with a 128MB microSD card? With loads of frustration. I hate the N95 8GB for that!
One last word though, before we close this chapter. The most frequent question I got in my daily demonstrations was this one: “they send test devices to people?”. It made me realize so many things. Thank you Nokia and thank you WOMWorld because, come to think about it, you are the only firm with a PR team so powerful and so available that even the most ordinary people, like me, can get hold of an 800$ device and run free with it for 2 weeks. Thank you for making the passion of every single blogger, whether he’s been here for years or days, a fruitful experience and not a series of unanswered emails and frustrated attempts at getting in contact. Thank you for making us insiders and not outsiders. We are proud to claim that you are our passion!
