E51 Loses Its Camera

The tiniest, slimmest, newest, and sexiest Eseries device from Nokia, the E51, just got a fellow brother. It’s an E51 without a camera! I suppose many businessmen would like to carry a camera-free device as a work phone, and the E51 shouldn’t be jealous of any other Eseries! It’s got HSDPA, 3G, WLAN, it runs S60 3rd Edition FP1, and has a mind-blowing battery life of 13 days at standby. If that isn’t enough, it also offers all the voice calling and document editing possibilities of every Eseries, as well as Nokia Intellisync Wireless Email and Mail for Exchange. That is seriously remarkable knowing the 12mm thickness of this baby.

The camera-free Nokia E51 is expected to begin shipping in the 1st quarter of 2008 with an estimated retail price of 250€ (US$366), before subsidies or taxes.
The Nokia E51 is ideal for people working in industries and institutions such as automotive, research laboratories or governmental organizations.

For more information, check the official announcement and the Forum Nokia full specification sheet of the E51.

$366 is only slightly cheaper than Amazon currently lists the camera-equipped E51.
