Food For Thought - Bob Iannucci On The Future Of Nokia & Mobile

It’s not everyday that you get to read an insider’s thoughts about the mobile world and the improvements in this promising industry. It’s not everyday that you get to see through the eyes of a major player and take a glimpse at the future, as he sees it, 7 years from now. But today you can do it.

Bob Iannucci, Chief Technology Officer at Nokia now and head of the Nokia Research Center, has been interviewed over at CIO Asia, and boy do I wish I can meet this man! In the interview, he shares his views for Nokia and the whole mobile industry. There are thoughts about wireless charging and power sources, worldwide at-your-convenience display screens, operating systems, nanotechnology, as well as the importance of applications and services and the paradigm shift that has started in Nokia and should continue. And that’s just scratching the surface.

Get a cup of coffee and jump over to the full interview, and make sure you have at least 10 minutes after you finish reading, because I guarantee that you’ll be roaming away with your imagination. Well, for me, it is just one more confirmation that my choice of Biotechnology specialization is the good one, I may not get there ahead of the pack but I will sure get there with the pack… and one day that may lead me to combine my two passions: mobiles and genetics. I won’t shed more lights, I’ll just leave you to ponder this idea.
