Geek Vs. Guru - Day 1
Today was the first official day of Geek vs. Guru, and I wanted to give a little bit of insight as to what type of equipment I’m using for this project. Obviously the number one device is my Nokia N95-3. I have a 6gb microSD card in there, loaded up with music to make the whole thing more bearable. I’m also using the Nokia BH-501 stereo Bluetooth headset so that I have music in both ears, free from wires. I’ll be reviewing this headset here on Symbian-Guru.com soon, as well.
The Nokia Sports Tracker application should be available to you in the Download! application on your S60 handset, though you can also download it directly from here. Flixwagon is what Matt and I will be using to instantly upload our videos to the web. You can signup for the service here, though be warned it streams video from your phone to the internet, so you’ll want to use it over WiFi or have an unlimited data plan.
That’s it. Here is the recap of today’s jog, I covered a pathetic 2.41km, and will be starting the contest weighing in at 81.8kg.
Don’t forget, you can follow the contest, including current standings for both Matt and I, at the official contest page, Geek vs. Guru.

Im using SportsTracker for lot of different actions. Check for ‘janptr’ and you can for example follow my last flight in Asia.
