I realize this is a day late, but I’ve been incredibly busy. Also, after wondering for a few days, I got word that Matt, the Nokia Geek, has some stuff going on and will likely be unable to help me finish off the rest of the contest. I have confidence that he’ll be back in action soon, but in the meantime, decided to go ahead and push through, though I’m changing the title to YOU vs Guru!I’m going to need more people doing this with me, so that I have some motivation to continue. This is a milestone in my life, as the first time that I’ve ever maintained any sort of a health schedule for longer than about 10 minutes. It’s really simple to join in. All you need to do is head on over to the Nokia Sports Tracker Beta site and set yourself up an account. It’s free, as is the Nokia Sports Tracker application. You can add me as a friend, rcadden, and then I can see your routes. To help kick this off, Nokia was kind enough to send me 8 of the Nokia CP-218 armbands. Phil demo’d these on See Into S60 a while back, and when Geek vs Guru got started, I let him know I’d need several to give away to participants. Here’s the skinny on how to get one. Scratch what I said in the video, you’re going to need to setup a Sports Tracker profile, and upload at least one workout each week. There’s no minimum length or time.
Each week, you’ll need to leave a comment on the Geek vs Guru post with your username and the distance you covered. At the end of the week I’ll go through and randomly pick one person who I’ll contact to ship them the Nokia CP-218.
Easy as that, folks. See you again on Thursday!
