Keeping Up With The Urbanista Diaries

2008-02-18_2109We’re still keeping up with those Urbanistas, the four bloggers chosen to travel the world armed with the Nokia N82 and various other Nokia accessories. Ms. Jen of BlackPhoebe.com is en route through India and other destinations, with plenty of cool pictures to take and adventures being had.

First she left Los Angeles, headed towards London. After London she landed in Chennai, India, to begin her journey. After a bit of use, she has a few thoughts on the Sports Tracker application, and I have to agree with her that it’s odd Nokia left Lifeblog to go dormant while updating this new application. Next up is Bangalore, India, where she stops to give us a recap of the previous few days. A fun looking visit to the fish market in Fort Cochin, Kerala, where she also took a boat ride in the backwaters, learning a new way to say ‘mosquito’ and meeting a friend…

Also in Kerala she learned a bit about God and Communism. Moving on to Goa, India, she found a truck looking for its horn and finally went on a dolphin boat tour on the Mandovi River. The N82 has been toted along the whole way, responsible for recording this cool adventure of hers, and assisting in the later storytelling. On the boat tour she was amazed to see the ease at which the N82 captures a dolphin leaping, and declares that, “The age of the convergence device has fully arrived.”

If you’re not already, be sure you subscribe to Ms. Jen’s RSS so you can keep up with the rest of her amazing trip and see what else she experiences with the help of the Nokia N82. Stay tuned to Symbian-Guru.com as we follow her along and pick up with Ryan, the last of the Urbanista Diaries, to see what adventures he finds.

Don’t forget, also, to visit the Urbanista Diaries site once a week to guess where the picture was taken and enter to win a Nokia N82 of your own. Registration is free, and hey, it only takes a minute and you could win a free N82. Hard to argue with that, you know?
