LG Introduces KT610 S60v3 QWERTY
LG has introduced its latest S60v3 handset at the 2008 Mobile World Congress, the KT610. This candybar handset bears the same form factor as the venerable Nokia E90, and opens up to reveal a 2nd display and full QWERTY keyboard. The KT610 sports a 2.4″ QVGA display as well as S60v3, Feature Pack 1.
Personally, I think this thing is hideous, completely. However, I’m really glad to see LG still using its status as an S60 licensee to create new products. I’ll try to get more details on this handset as quick as I can, unfortunately details are scarce for now.
I really wish LG would have at least given a full press release. I am going off the Symbian press release, which offers very little in the way of details.

Look great, I wish Nokia would produce something similar. It’s a normal phone that flips to become a blackberry style with full qwerty. I admit the front doesn’t look nice but the full qwerty on a normal thin shaped phone seems great unlike the large E61, blackberry, or E91.
ad the misfortune of playing with this at MWC at the S60 stand. It had to be the fugliest phone I’d seen from any of the manufacturers (similar to the LG enV on Verizon).
Build quality was so-so and the way the device folded made the body over-shadow the screen when opened up for QWERTY use. Would not recommend it at all.
Having said that it’s good to see more QWERTY devices in the S60 range. I just hope they get the design right in future
