Any chance we (N82, N95… users) get that in an FW update?

Even better, because it’s just part of the Search application, they will likely just release an update to that for us to download, no firmware update needed. :)

And even betterer than that, Nokia should have made it /configurable/ in the first place.

It’s very M$ to hardcode an app to one thing, such as a search provider, and I found this odd when I first saw the Search app. (“WTF? Nokia’s not that monopolistic is it?”)

This is a good move, only because I use Google, but what about poor Mr. X who uses SearchEngineX? Do they have to wait until Nokia makes an ‘agreement’ with SearchEngineX too?

That’s silly, just provide an easy way to add more providers. And Nokia, connect it to that wacky MOSH or something and all the users will create the links for you too.

    Easy.

@henare Because it’s an application, I would imagine Nokia has to secure the permission of the search provider in order to include it in the app.

It *IS* configurable, though, between the search providers. Currently you can pick between Yahoo! and Live, and obviously Google will be another option soon.

Let’s hope real soon, not N96 soon. :)
