Nokia Maps 2.0 Available For ALL!

Nokia Maps 2.0, the awesome update to Nokia Maps that Ricky previewed a while ago here, and that Nokia just announced today in Mobile World Congress, is now available for all of us to download. It has just been added to Nokia Beta Labs. If you’re still wondering about upgrading, just take a look at the screenshots that Ricky took in his preview.

Nokia Maps is taking maps and navigation experiences to the next level and introducing Walk – pedestrian navigation, in addition to Drive – world class car navigation, multimedia city guides, satellite maps and other innovative features. With free maps of more than 150 countries, over 15 million points-of-interest, the world is in your pocket. Don’t get lost or choose to get lost in the right places to explore, and let Nokia Maps show you the way.

Now it’s not only the newly announced N96, N78, 6210 navigator and 6220 that benefit from this upgrade, but also every S60 3rd Edition FP1 device. Head on to Beta Labs to get it going!

    I hope they fix the bugs soon. Its already closing from time to time on my phone. And I cant seem to find where it shows the itenerary of your route nor can I find where you route from a favorite. You can only route from current position.

    Ok. WOW! But what about my nokie E61i? Still no upgrade to 1FP so no way to try this app. What can I said? It’s not funny?

    But I found some info that upgreade to FP1 is coming… they call it – E71 ;)))

    Awesome upgrade, but it’s pretty crashy… when I use the internal screen on my E90 the soft buttons are reversed (IE exit=options, options=exit). So definitely some bugs to be worked out.

    Unfortunately it’s not available for all! Like the first Pete, I’m still using an older S60 3rd Edition device (an N73 in my case) and Nokia Maps won’t work with that.

    True, @Pete and @Anthony. However, anyone is able to download it, not just a select few bloggers, hence the ‘all’. :)

    I have tried it on my N95 and it crashes all the time. but besides that it is way better then the old version. hope they get the bugs fixed soon…..
