Nokia Opens New Flagship In London

2008-02-09_0755Yesterday, Nokia opened a new Flagship store in London on Regent St, directly across the street from the Apple store already there. This is the 8th such store that Nokia has opened around the globe, and they’re extremely excited about it. To celebrate the opening, Nokia has created Meet London, which will feature photos from several Londoners in the store.

Inside the store, which is designed to be very high-class, there’s three sections. The first is the Product Zone, which features demo’s of the newest Nokia handsets and accessories. All handsets have a working internet connection so that visitors can really get a taste of the experience. The second zone is the Support Zone, where customers can take a few moments to get their device setup, browse service options, and the like. There is also a Vertu section, similar to the Nokia Flagship store in Chicago that I visited. This part of the store is sectioned off and exudes luxury with every detail.

Any employee at the Nokia Flagship stores must graduate from ‘Nokia Academy’, proving that they are experts in showcasing products and providing accurate information to guests. You can check out a quick video walkthrough from ElectricPig.tv here, and my friend James Whatley of Spinvox has ventured out to the store this morning, posting pics on his Flickr account for all to enjoy.
