Nokia today has finally officially announced the black version of the N82 imaging smartphone. It’s been leaked and rumored constantly and now it’s here. The hardware is the same, 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, Carl Zeiss optics, and Xenon flash, alongside the 2.4″ QVGA display. There’s a microSD card slot for expanded memory, as well.
We’ve reviewed the N82 here on Symbian-Guru for you in several parts, covering a Q&A, First Impressions, Music Playback, Imaging, Build Quality, and Overall Experience. Personally, I think the N82 is one of the best handsets on the market…unless you’re using AT&T in the U.S., in which case the lack of US 3G (1900MHz) makes the N82 a ho-hum experience next to the N95-3 (NAM).
The black version of the N82 is expected to be available in the next few weeks, and Nokia is expecting to charge 400EUR (US$631) for the privilege. Expect prices to drop dramatically, down to the current ~US$500 range soon.
