Easter Bunny Follows Stavros’ Footsteps

Easter Bunny Follows Stavros’ Footsteps

I was reading Mark Guim’s detailed guide on How to Embed Sports Tracker Data to Your Blog when I saw a comment from Peter Rullmann. Intrigued by his “Tonight we created our first position art masterpiece, an Easter special” sentence, I clicked through to his Humane Computing blog and found it on the front page: an easter bunny!

Well, Peter Rullman and a couple of his friends, Hirvi and Mr Stahl, decided to offer us all an easter gift, and wrap it all up à la Stavros. Armed with a standard digital camera and a GPS unit, they totted around and drew an easter bunny with their positions. They had to walk over cars, parks, and do some handovers, but they got it all together. They even took pictures while walking, with Peter imitating (or daring to imitate) the Position Art genius sign (in the wrong direction)!

Although Peter admits that their work isn’t as flawless as Stavros’, I think the Genius has some serious competition headed his way. Who knows what masterpiece these 3 daredevils would’ve done if they had a tool as powerful as the N82 (or even the black N82)? And who knows who else will make use of Mark Guim’s very explanatory guide to Stavrosify their art? Well, we can only hope that more and more people will bite on the Position Art idea and feed us all with some seriously challenging results. It might be one of the most difficult arts to plan, one of the most challenging to execute, and it might cease to exist even during the moment it is created, yet it falls under the “crazy”and the “modern” categories, just what artists like. This by itself is reason for it to blossom.

After Stavros’ footsteps drawing in and on Rome, this is the second Position Art masterpiece being demonstrated, and to tell you the truth, I believe it won’t be the last one. Stavros had better rolled his sleeves and gotten back to work to get some Position Art done, if he wants to stay on top of the business. For now, no one has his sense of humor and that is enough reason for us to continue loving him more than anyone else.
