Last.FM Client For S60v3 Finally Almost Here
Ollywompus shot me an IM this morning to alert me to Aspyplayer. I’m not going to lie, it’s pretty ugly at the moment, but regardless, we now officially have a Last.FM client for our S60v3 handsets. Aspyplayer is a new Python-based application developed by a guy named Douglas from Brazil. He’s an avid N95 user, and wanted a way to scrobble the music he listens to on his device.
The application is available here, and requires Python for S60 installed to the same memory (internal or removable). It’s currently (as confessed by the developer) rather ugly in the UI, but keep in mind this is a very first edition. Currently it allows you to play your music, and it uploads the track and title to Last.FM, and that’s about it.
The application is also currently unsigned. However, it’s definitely something to watch, and you can rest assured that we here at Symbian-Guru.com will be keeping an eagle eye on this project.
If any readers know anything about coding and that sort of thing, I’d bet Douglas would welcome any assistance.
Personally, I’m more interested in the other cool features of Last.FM being integrated, specifically the artist and tag radio.
