Mobile Geeks Of London Unite In Vegas
James Whatley, or WhatleyDude as everyone has grown to know him, is one nice dude (pun intended) and one of the most ubiquitous people there is. He is on every community or microblogging site, he knows everyone and well, everyone knows him. Beside spending his time spreading the word about SpinVox on the company’s blog, a service that Ricky has grown fond of over and over again, he is also the man behind the Mobile Geeks of London group and meet-ups.
This time, James is moving the event a bit far away from the UK-based motherland, and has organized a Mobile Geeks of London on Tour event, in Las Vegas! There isn’t a real “tour” involved, but a nice chill out at The Playboy Bar, Palms Casino Resort in Vegas, James assures it’s not a strip club. The meet-up is scheduled on Monday March the 31st, one day shy of April’s Fool, starting 8pm. As always, you can expect James to bring some gadgets and show you some new services, you can also expect to catch some real nice people who share the same passion as you and have unforgettable conversations.For more details, you can visit the Facebook event page where you can also check on who’s going.
Why Vegas, you would ask? Well, Vegas is the land of CTIA, a great event for the mobile and wireless industry. This year, CTIA will take place from the 1st to the 3rd of April, that’s next Tuesday to Thursday, and a lot of gadget lovers and mobile addicts will be there. There’s always some good announcements during the event, devices and services, and although we won’t be there in person, we will make sure that we bring you the best coverage we can, so be sure to check back here!
