Y-Browser Updated To V0.88

Y-Browser Updated To V0.88

Over the weekend, my favorite file browser for S60v3, Y-Browser from DrJukka.com, was updated to v0.88. Enhancements include an updated icon (which I like much better), as well as cleaner interface and stability improvements. Also, the ability to set file association preferences (what app opens what file) is a nice addition, and you can now properly manage the plugins that you’ve added, which have also been updated.

I’ve tried the other file browsers for S60v3 such as Xplore and really like the interface and features of Y-Browser the best. The only suggestion/request I’d make is to have the ability to download one .sis with all of the plugins pre-installed, as opposed to having to download/install each one individually, which can be a pain.

You can get the .sis files below, it’s free to download:

Y-Browser version 088 (Multi language)
Y-Browser BtObex sender plug-in, version 088(English)
Y-Browser Mail folders plug-in, version 088(English)
Y-Browser Text Viewer plug-in, version 088(English)
Y-Browser Zip plug-in, version 088(English)
Additional icon packs for Y-Browser

Enjoy. Hat tip to AllAboutSymbian for being the first place I saw the news.

  1. Gotta agree with you on this one, Guru. That’s the only small fault I don’t like about Y-Browser, the fact that there isn’t just one sis with all of the plugins!

  2. [...] Tools folder contains anything that’s a utility of sorts, or settings related. This includes Y-Browser, Handy Taskman, the Jaiku tool (which, really, could just as easily go into the Crap folder, as [...]
